Orkney Football Academy Code of Conduct Policy
PLAYERS
1. Players should act in a responsible manner and treat all players and coaches equally and with dignity and respect during training & matches.
2. Players should be a team player – It’s a team game. Treat all players as you would like to be treated – fairly.
3. Players should communicate and co-operate with their coach, officials and team-mates.
4. Players should not use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability & if anyone is in vialation of this they will be asked to leave.
5. Players should prepare for training and matches as follows - time keeping, clean boots, appropriate studs for the playing surface, shin guards, drinks etc.
6. Players should take reasonable care for your own health & safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or don’t do. Correctly use all equipment provided during the sessions. Not interfere with or misuse anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.
7. Players/Parents should inform their squad coach in good time if they are not available for a match or training session.
8. Players should make every effort to develop and improve their own ability in terms of skill, tactics and stamina. Always work hard and do your very best.
PARENTS
1. Parents/guardians are very welcome at all training sessions and matches.
2. Parents/guardians should ensure that their child’s coach is informed in good time if they are not available for a match or training session.
3. Parents/guardians are requested to liaise with their squad coach to ensure that their child’s football commitments do not have a detrimental effect on their school studies.
4. Parents/guardians should encourage their child to follow the player’s code of conduct.
5. Parents/guardians are instructed not to coach or shout at any player or coach during training or matches.
